“ We rarely visit Greensburg without having takeout from Giannilli's II. My in-laws live five minutes away so it's convenient but I'd be willing to make a drive to eat here. I say we get takeout because we usually get pizza but since Covid, we have started taking out full dinners too. The dinners are packaged very well - my bag with soup tipped on my way home last week with nary a spill. I just can't say enough about this restaurant. Let's start with the pizza. The crust and sauce are house made and delicious. Chewy crust, sauce that has a bit of sweetness and abundant toppings make for a great pie. Although we've never gotten it, Saturday night has a drive-up special that looks like quite a good deal. Moving on...last week we tried the fried zucchini. Thinly sliced, fried to perfection and served with warm marinara, this zucchini is the bomb! Having lived out of the area for 35 years, I still crave what I consider "Pittsburgh style" zucchini and this definitely meets my expectations. On other visits we've ordered various pastas, pierogis, soups and sandwiches. The servings are always large and I don't think we've ever not had leftovers. I've never had anything that I didn't like. Whether it be takeout, dining in or the bar area, the service is always prompt and the staff friendly and attentive. I always feel like part of their family and it's always a pleasurable experience. I've also been to and hosted several functions at Giannilli's. The food has always been good and the service likewise. The last of my family is moving out of the area next week. There are a lot of things that I'm going to miss about Greensburg and eating at Giannilli's is definitely going to be up there near the top of my list. ”
